Summer is approaching and for many of you that means some much-needed vacation time! Most travelers visit Turks & Caicos during the months of December through March, but if you want to enjoy some island travel and avoid the crowds, the summer months are the best time to visit. Aside from having a little more paradise to yourself, here are some other reasons you’ll want to visit Turks and Caicos this summer:
One of the top benefits of visiting the Turks and Caicos Islands during the off-peak travel season is that you can get some great deals on accommodations and flights. There tends to be more availability, so you are more likely to get the dates of your preference at a fraction of the busy-season price. Summer also tends to have better deals on flights so with all your savings, you could enjoy a longer trip or do some special activities during your stay!
Quieter Beaches and Attractions
Vacation is a time to relax. During summer months the beaches are much less crowded, which means that you can feel comfortable spreading out your towel and listening to the sounds of the waves on the beach. The island's attractions are also less busy during the summer. If you want to make a dinner reservation or book an excursion, it will be easier to reserve your space for the date and time of your preference.
Time with the Locals
With quieter beaches, restaurants, and attractions the Island’s locals may also have more time. You could find yourself relaxing with a cup of coffee and speaking with the owner of the coffee shop or a local regular.
Even though summer has the slower months of the year, there is certainly no shortage of things to do in the Turks and Caicos during this time. The South Caicos Regatta, Middle Caicos Day of Celebration and the Provo Summer Festival all take place during the late spring and early summer. You could also schedule your vacation to attend the Wind Vibes and Eco-Seaswim ‘Race for the Conch' athletic activities. Attending or participating in one or more of these island festivals is the best way to immerse yourself in the island life.
With 350 days a year of sunshine, the weather is always a good reason to come to Turks and Caicos. Even in the summer months our tradewinds keep even the high heat and humidity enjoyable. So, pack your bags - the ocean breeze, warming sun rays, and quiet white sand beaches are just a flight away!
